AI/ML Engineer
On-Site, Singapore
We are looking for a world-class AI/ML Engineer to lead the development of a foundation model for tactile data. This model will provide core representational power for touch-based perception and fast adaptation to downstream tasks starting with posture prediction for Backy, but extending to a broad range of tactile intelligence applications.
This is not a “toy” ML role. You’ll be tackling novel problems in high-dimensional sensor data, working at the frontier of representation learning, and shaping the backbone of tactile AI.
What You’ll Do:
Architect and train advanced ML models, focusing on scalable algorithms for tactile sensing and posture prediction.
Build pipelines to collect, clean, and augment tactile datasets from our deployed hardware.
Design robust feature learning and representation methods to extract high-value insights from noisy sensor data.
Experiment, iterate, and optimize for real-world performance.
Validate models in the field and deliver production-ready solutions.
Document methods and share insights that push both the team and the field forward.
Requirements
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field.
Deep experience building and scaling machine learning algorithms (representation learning, self-supervised methods, or foundation models a plus).
Proficiency with modern ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and strong coding skills.
Experience with sensor data, time series, or high-dimensional noisy signals is highly desirable.
Strong analytical ability and the creativity to solve open-ended problems.
Excellent communicator and collaborator who thrives in fast-moving, hands-on environments.
